New (2020-10-01) Room description functionality
Important to know about the new functionality regarding room description.
This functionality is available in newly created projects from now on. You cannot use existing Templates to get this room functionality but must create new templates.
New functionality is also to be able to create rooms in Bimeye that are not in the model. This feature is now available in Bimeye on the web prepared for the next room functionality update. In order for this function to work as intended, the design tool clients will be updated later with the option to place the rooms that are in Bimeye in the model.
As of today, you can only edit Materials and Objects per room, not multi-edit. This is something that we understand is a desired function and we are working to make this available as soon as possible.

Room data sheets can be used to communicate the client’s requirements for each room on a project. They can be prepared by room types or may define the requirements for each individual room. They may also include general requirements and guidance notes. They may be prepared by the client in the first instance, and then taken on and developed by the design team, to eventually include actual specifications.
What can be included in room data sheets?
They include information about the room including its name, number, location, and use and then detailed descriptions of all the finishes, fixtures and fittings, mechanical and electrical requirements and so on within the space. This information can vary greatly depending on the requirements and what type of space they are for. Typically in Sweden often create architect RDS for finishes.
